Did Alisha Keys Start Wearing Makeup Again

Alicia Keys took to Twitter today to clarify her position afterward her controversial appearance at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards last night.

The Grammy-winning female parent of two honoredMartin Luther Rex Jr.and spoke pointedly about equality while presenting Best Male Video to Calvin Harris—who, non coincidentally, couldn't take achieved what he did on the vocal without Rihanna.

So Keys, later hearing plenty from the twitterverse, felt the need to ready the record straight.

"Y'all, me choosing to be makeup costless doesn't mean I'm anti-makeup. Practise you lot!" she wrote, punctuating the sentiment with a couple of kiss-blowing emojis and a makeup-complimentary selfie.

What was the controversy again?

Well, as information technology always turns out, some people on the Cyberspace took issue with the fact that Keys didn't wear makeup to the VMAs last dark. Her perfect pare (she didn't say she was giving up skincare, merely the stuff that covers it) was all aglow just her bare face up still made for an understated look that stood out equally quite the statement amid all the heavily made-upward faces.

"Alicia keys did not wearable ane spec of makeup to the VMAs and I wish I was on board with information technology but I'm just not," wrote some other adult female.

The more than supportive reactions ultimately concluded up winning in a landslide (as did the defence force of Keys that included nasty jabs at the supposedly ugly women who were plain jealous that they tin can't go makeup-free), but not before enough people had weighed in to make the backlash to the #NoMakeup motion come up alive once again.

Are people concerned that...what? The makeup business is going to suffer? That the government's going to come for your makeup? That all of a sudden you'll wake up to find no one in the world wearing makeup and and then you lot'll experience like a fraud if you even so want to muffle a pimple?

And don't worry, guys, this doesn't mean you have to stop wearing makeup, either.

Alicia Keys wrote in May that she was hoping the no-makeup matter would become a revolution—less of a call for everyone to be like her and more of an acquittance that it would certainly be an easier choice to stick with if more than women did it as well, because it's apparently nonetheless headline news when a glory goes makeup-free.
